Adjectives v/s Adverbs

Hey! we always get confused in the use of adjective and adverbs. so let's end it today. What you need to remember ? Let's have a look...….

Adjectives -  Adjectives are those words which describes a noun or a pronoun.

1) "Riya is a good belly dancer."

2) "That dog is so cute."

3) "They are so stubborn."

In sentence 1, adjective good is describing about the noun riya, in sentence 2, adjective cute is describing about the noun dog, and in sentence 3 adjective stubborn is describing about the pronoun they.

ADVERB - An adverb describes about a verb, an adjective or                       an adverb. Or we can define it  that an adverb is a word which add more information about manner, time, place, cause, or degree to a verb , an adjective, the whole sentence ,or another adverb.

1) "Tom has arrived 12mins early."

2) "The rooms in hotel are almost fully booked." 

3) "Generally, They don't go by bus."

In sentence 1, adverb early describes  the verb arrived, in sentence 2, adverb almost  describes  another adverb fully , and in sentence3, adverb generally describes the whole sentence.

The confusion creates because we have some words which are used as an adjective and an adverb also .

Here is the list of some words which are used as an adjective and an adverb also with examples:- Green colour denotes adverb and yellow adjective.

                                               2. It was fair decision taken by the                                                      judges.
